Let's face it, the TI 84 Plus graphing calculator is definitely better than the TI 83 - or even the TI 83 Plus; it's like using a bike instead of a skate board, or a car instead of a bike. The only reason for choosing a TI-83 graphing calculator over a TI 84 Plus has been the price. It's usually cheaper. So, for those on a tight budget, the TI 83 has been a good option. However, it's now possible, weirdly enough, to get the TI-84 Plus cheaper than the 83! I found a brand new TI 84 Plus for $30 cheaper than a TI 83!
